FIVE PICKETS TO TITSBURGH

To those of you who’ve been reading my blog regularly and are thinking, “AHA! He’s losing it”….. I’m aware that I’ve used a version of this old line before. I’m vague about the joke that goes with it, but you can bet that it’s as puerile as the punchline.
I just like seeing it in print.
Five guys in Pittsburgh…….. The four of us who live in Canada drove down yesterday. Depending on who you ask, it took anywhere from seven to eight and a half hours to get here.
We made a brief detour in Buffalo to pick up 140 “The Lightfoot Band” T-shirts, packed into cartons, which for the rest of the drive were stacked to the roof in the back seat between Carter and me. Every time the truck accelerated, slowed down, or changed direction, there was a cardboard avalanche.
The shirts are part of the “merch” we sell at our shows to help offset travel expenses. We’re still waiting on the bobble-heads and the glow-in-the-dark condoms.
We’re staying at the DoubleTree hotel in scenic downtown Pittsburgh. Here’s the view from my room.

The show is over and I’m back at the hotel. It wasn’t a sell-out, but the audience was very appreciative.
Here’s what the stage looked like:

It’s off to Cleveland tomorrow. There’s a baseball game at 1 pm and the field is right near the hotel so it could be slow going. I expect that I’ll be posting tomorrow. Tune in!
